Lemon Chicken Recipe

by - May 22, 2018

I've made this recipe couple of time before and it has been approved by the number 1 fan of ayam goreng, my husband. So I just have to share the recipe cause, why not?

You'll find hundreds of lemon chicken recipe on the internet, but this has got the Malaysian touch to it so if you'd like to give it a try, lets move on to the ingredients.

To make this you'll have to have:

*Chicken breast - or any part that you like
*Salt
*Pepper
*Flour
*Egg
*Chopped garlic
*Chopped onion
*Juice from 1 lemon
*Lemon slices
*Carrot - or any kind of veges (optional)
*For Malaysian touch - bird's eye chilies (optional)
*Cooking oil

First, beat the egg in a bowl. In a separate bowl, season the flour with some salt and pepper. If you have premix flour, use it! In this case, I would recommend 'Bestari' Crispy Fried Chicken Coating Mix.

Next, cut the chicken into desired size, and roll them into the egg, then into the flour.

Preheat the cooking oil in the pan. Fry the coated chicken with low medium heat. You'll know it's ready when it turns golden brown. Set it aside.

Next, reduce the oil in the pan to about 2-3 tablespoon, then put the garlic, onion  and bird's eye chilies in. Add the veges in, then add some water, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Put back the chicken into the pan. When it's about to ready, put the lemon slices in and turn off the heat.

Nyums. Perfect for buka puasa ☺
